It is a residential house for a family of four with an area of ​​approx. 350 m 2, built near low-rise suburban buildings near Warsaw. Graphite tile handcrafted by Elkamino Dom artisans was chosen by the designer as the dominant tile type for the facade of a modern barn style home. It covers two parts of the building and the fence, creating the effect of an elegant monolith, guaranteeing peace and privacy for the members of the house. The niches and arcades visible from the windows of the house are made of HPL panels, a durable composite based on polyurethane-acrylic resins in the color of light wood. This element reinforces the feeling of comfort and perfectly balances the feeling of massiveness of the clinker tile. In addition, its dark colors refer to the dark-trunked pines typical of the Mazovia region. The architect's idea was to refer to the typical style of the Mazovian tradition by giving it a modern form without overwhelming the neighboring low-rise buildings with their size.
